For S$2.47, you can enjoy a cup of Nissin Instant Noodles that comes with chicken nuggets and french fries in Japan from 14th February onwards.
According to Japanese website SoraNews24, the Cup Noodle Potenage Big is part of the instant noodle manufacturer’s Big brands, which means that the cup noodle comes in a larger than usual portion – 94g as opposed to the usual 77g.
“Potenage” is a combination of “potato” and “nagetsu,” the Japanese word for “nuggets.” In other words, this is ramen with chicken nuggets and sliced French fries, with the latter meant to evoke happy memories of French fries.
Consumers can also look forward to scrambled eggs and green onion being included in the latest flavour.
Nissin is well-known for introducing unusual and local flavours in its cup noodles. Nissin has produced local flavours like chilli crab and laksa in Singapore.
Nissin has sold more than 40 billion cups since the inception of its first cup noodle in 1971.
